We apply for and obtain all county permits and consult with engineers if required.

DIG PLAN

The use of a dig plan aids in preparation for your pool. It helps us to ensure that your pool will sit at the exact desired elevation needed.

ELEVATIONS

We use a transit laser to ensure that we grade the bottom to the exact elevations on the specified dig plans.

DIG/GRADE/ROCK BOTTOM OF HOLE

After digging the pool hole, we compact the entire area repeatedly to prevent settling of the shell once we begin to add the weight of water. We compact 5-6 inches of #57 stone rock base to help create a foundation to support the weight of the pool.

HIGH WATER TABLE/ WATER CONTROL

Every pool we install a 12” shaft for a sump pump, which can immediately pump and remove any groundwater from under your pool.

POOL DELIVERED

Fiberglass pools are delivered direct from the San Juan Fiberglass Pool factory in Lakeland, FL. They are hand built, custom to order and we install your plumbing and lights custom on every pool.

LEVEL POOL

We compact the bottom of the hole to ensure a uniform, level, and compacted surface. While placing the pool in the hole, we check the elevations with a transit to ensure the pool is level, making adjustments as necessary.

PLUMBING & FITTINGS

Prior to adding the equipment, we must first pass a pressure inspection to ensure that there are no leaks in the plumbing! We only use schedule 40 PVC in a minimum 2” diameter and Jandy valves. Pipe size and fittings play a vital role in the circulation of your pool.

WATER IN POOL

Water is put into the pool with the use of a garden hose. The water must be added slowly and at the same time as the backfill to help equalize the pressure inside and outside of the pool shell. We often use spreader beams to help keep the walls as straight as possible.

ROCK BASE & BACKFILL

We use 57 stone as a foundation to stabilize the ground and to support the weight of the pool. We never use existing dirt to backfill your pool.

CONCRETE FOOTER

Every one of our installs is finished with a perimeter concrete footer. The perimeter concrete footer “sandwiches” around the flange of the shell and helps stabilizes the pool to help prevent future settling or shifting and also provides the correct base for your coping stone.

DECK & CUSTOM FEATURES

The deck and custom features are typically the last part of the project! Typically the pool is already up and circulating! This critical step is important because your pool coping and your pool deck should be done separately and we install foam insulation that allows for seasonal contraction and expansion.
